OSP likes to focuses on herbs and vegetables that provide great flavor and lots of color.  As the season changes as does our availability.  If there is anything you would like to special request, please let our team know and we will let you know when it can be available. All our produce is cut fresh and is completely organic.  We welcome customers to come and pick out what they want from our gardens, and our staff will cut it right there for you.

Nasturtium leaves


(Tropaeolum majus)

Resembles a miniature lily pad. Initially sweet tasting, the flavor slowly turns mildly spicy. Picked at a very young tender stage, work well in a variety of savory preparations. Use in green, grain and pasta salads. Add to sandwiches and quesadillas or puree to make a nasturtium pesto

Red Russian Kale


(Brassica napus pabularia)

This variety is known by its richly colored red stems and purple tinted leaves. The beautiful oak like leaf offers a mild nutty flavor that is slightly sweet and earthy. Red Russian kale is an excellent source of vitamin C,  iron, vitamin A, calcium, magnesium, potassium,  and dietary fiber.  The meaty green compliments rich flavors such as  pork, pancetta, sausage, garlic, chiles, onions, thyme and caraway. Sautee or braise the mature leaves, or use the new sprouts raw in salads.

Garnets Red Mustard


(Brassica juncea)

This slightly spicy mustard is known of its broad purple leaves with slightly toothed margins. Its flavor is a great edible bed for sautéed, grilled or roasted vegetables. Its savory flavor blends in well to fresh mixed green salads.

Red Sorrel


(Rumex acetosella)

Red sorrel is best grown for its leaves are best used in fresh . More mature leaves can be cooked like spinach or used in stir-fries.Its bright, tangy flavor pairs well with fish, veal, eggs and potatoes, in soup or gratin. Red sorrel can serve as a thickener for soups and stews.  Mix Red sorrel leaves with mixed greens for a citrusy addition to salads.  Red sorrel leaves can also be juiced and helps benefit the kidneys and urinary tract. Tea made from steeping the leaves can be helpful for inflammation, fevers and scurvy. Red sorrel contains high amounts of vitamin C and B vitamins.

Wasabi Arugula


(Diplotaxis erucoides)

Wasabi arugula's bright green leaves provide a kick like no other arugula you have ever had. Its flavor includes a slight bitterness, horseradish, and pepper aromatics that can be used in salads, wraps, sandwiches, and pastas. Wasabi arugula can be added to other dishes that are best with that extra flavor boost.

Micro Cilantro

Micro Cilantro has a sweet, bright, and spicy flavor without the soapy flavor mature cilantro can develop.  Micro cilantro is good for yours well as delicious, its high in Vitamin K and beta-carotene.  Also pairs well with coconut milk, citrus, ginger,peppers, yogurt, chicken, lamb and  fish.

Radish Sprouts


(Raphanus sativus)

Raish sprouts show off just the spicy tops of the baby radish greens.  These pink and purple stems provide a great spicy flavor as well as provide a needed crunch.  Makes excellent bed for grilled dishes or used anytime on salads and sandwiches

Curry Leaves


(Murraya koenigii)

These fresh leaves are used somewhat like bay leaves in Indian cooking, although the leaves are edible after they are cooked and don't need to be removed from dishes before eating. Curry leaves add a bright flavor to rice dishes, lentils, curries, yogurt, and bread,  The leaves are usually stripped from the stem, fried in hot oil with other spices, and either used as a base for making a dish or poured over an already prepared dish.

Baby Kale


(Brassica oleracea)

Baby kale's flavor is milder than traditional kale but has a nutty sweet flavor.  Though still hardier than most lettuce varieties.  They can be enjoyed raw, or in salads but are sturdy enough for cooking.  Baby kale can be juiced, wilted, fried, and sautéed.

These radishes have a light purple skin and there greens are almost completely spineless.  They offer a mild radish flavor, so they are great for not over powering they dish.  We offer them fresh picked from the garden.
